Maria de Carvalho Esteves has joined Bankwell as vice president and branch manager of the bank’s Wilton branch (47 Old Ridgefield Rd.). She will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships while building awareness and exposure to Bankwell’s products and services.
Esteves brings over seven years of banking and financial experience including business and consumer retail sales and relationship management.
As an active member in the community, she is currently a member of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Stamford Senior Center Board of Directors. Previously, Esteves served as the president and board member of the Portuguese American Cultural Center of Tarrytown and was the first female president of any Portuguese association in the State of New York since 1989.
Esteves currently resides in Mahopac, NY with her five children.
