The Wilton Playshop is bringing laughter and a talented cast to their stage Nov. 4-19 when it presents Philip Barry’s comic play, The Philadelphia Story. Directed by Al Recchia, this 1939 Broadway hit that starred Katharine Hepburn features actors from across Fairfield County.

The Philadelphia Story follows socialite Tracy Lord as she prepares to marry for the second time. With lingering feelings for her first husband and a budding interest in a society reporter, Tracy finds herself with three potential grooms on the morning of her wedding.

Performances are scheduled for Nov. 4, 5, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., and on Nov. 6 and 13 at 2 p.m.. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, with a $5 discount on “Thrifty Thursdays.” Tickets can be purchased online.
