Please have your food items in a reusable shopping bag (if possible) as this is what the families use at the pantry.

In addition\, our new Director of Music Ministries and Organist\, Andrew Leslie Cooper\, will give everyone a taste of what is to come from our music program and answer all your questions about our youth choirs. There will also be an opportunity for you to help support our mission partners\, Open Doors Shelter in Norwalk\, and WiACT\, the Wilton Interfaith Action Committee. We will be collecting after-school snacks for the children at Open Doors Shelter and food for Afghan refugees.

DESCRIPTION:The Arts at St. Matthew’s–Digital Concert Series\nFor tickets and details visit the Arts at St. Matthew’s website or email with questions. \nSt. Matthew’s Episcopal Church‘s artist in residence Scott Ellaway and the Arts at St. Matthew’s are pleased to announce a very innovative and exciting three-concert digital series. The concerts will be broadcast over Zoom with the first on Wednesday\, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. In these 50-minute concerts\, Ellaway will introduce you to composers that may be new to you as well as some you know well. In addition\, the concert audience will be invited to ask the musicians questions via Zoom chat. \nThe Oct. 21 concert will feature the American composer Nico Muhly through a performance of “Set Me as a Seal” followed by a performance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by musicians from Orchestra Europa\, of which Scott is artistic director. \nOn Feb. 24\, 2021\, Ellaway will introduce us to the music of Leonard Bernstein through his beloved Chichester Psalms. We will also hear “Notturno” composed by Michael Tilson Thomas. Musicians for this program will be drawn from the Vienna Philharmonic as well as Orchestra Europa. \nThe final concert on May 12\, 2021\, will feature the British composer Patrick Gowers with his “Viri Galilaei” and a performance of “Four Organs” by Steven Reich. Musicians from the London Symphony will join Orchestra Europa for our final program. \nThese concerts promise an evening of enlightenment and enjoyment for the audience and a chance to support future events by the Arts at St. Matthew’s. \nTickets are $25 with a reduced price of $10 for seniors and students. A 10% discount for series subscribers is available. Children 13 and under are free. For a $250 contribution\, patrons will receive a ticket as well as access to scheduled rehearsals throughout the season. DESCRIPTION:The Social Action Committee at Temple B’nai Chaim is collecting diapers\, wipes\, and menstrual supplies for distribution to The Community Action Agency of Western CT\, Person to Person\, and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center. If enough items are donated The Diaper Bank of CT will be contacted about donating to other organizations in the area. Collection will be in the parking lot. Open packages are accepted. All sizes are welcome\, but generally\, sizes 3 and up are most in need. Lack of these supplies causes incredible amounts of stress on the families in need. Lack of menstrual supplies prevents women from attending school or jobs. These items are needed now in greater supply. The Diaper Bank of CT website has more information about the need for these supplies in CT.

The concerts will be broadcast over Zoom with the first on Wednesday\, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. In these 50-minute concerts\, Ellaway will introduce you to composers that may be new to you as well as some you know well. In addition\, the concert audience will be invited to ask the musicians questions via Zoom chat. \nThe Oct. 21 concert will feature the American composer Nico Muhly through a performance of “Set Me as a Seal” followed by a performance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by musicians from Orchestra Europa\, of which Scott is artistic director. \nOn Feb. 24\, 2021\, Ellaway will introduce us to the music of Leonard Bernstein through his beloved Chichester Psalms. We will also hear “Notturno” composed by Michael Tilson Thomas. Musicians for this program will be drawn from the Vienna Philharmonic as well as Orchestra Europa. \nThe final concert on May 12\, 2021\, will feature the British composer Patrick Gowers with his “Viri Galilaei” and a performance of “Four Organs” by Steven Reich. Musicians from the London Symphony will join Orchestra Europa for our final program. \nThese concerts promise an evening of enlightenment and enjoyment for the audience and a chance to support future events by the Arts at St. Matthew’s. \nTickets are $25 with a reduced price of $10 for seniors and students. A 10% discount for series subscribers is available. Children 13 and under are free. For a $250 contribution\, patrons will receive a ticket as well as access to scheduled rehearsals throughout the season. SUMMARY:Exploring the Enneagram
DESCRIPTION:Wilton Congregational Church is offering a 12-week ZOOM course called The Enneagram Journey starting Wednesday\, Jan. 13. The course includes videos by Enneagram master Suzanne Stabile and it will be facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Anne Coffman\, Senior Minister at WCC. \nParticipants will watch the videos on their own and gather on Wednesdays starting Jan. 13 from 10-11 a.m. via ZOOM to reflect on the videos and work through the exercises in the workbook. All are welcome to participate in this study\, but class size is limited to 20. \nRev. Dr. Coffman is in the process of becoming a Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Tradition. She explains that the Enneagram is an ancient typology that teaches people how to understand the deepest motivations within themselves and other people\, and something that many have found to be a helpful tool for fostering growth in compassion. \n“We are very excited about offering this course to Wilton and we hope that it will be a great way to increase our caring skills as a community\,” she said. \nMaterials for the course are $30.
