A Congressional Act approved on May 13\, 1938\, made November 11 a legal holiday dedicated to America’s veterans for their willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. \nOn Saturday\, November 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\, the Wilton Historical Society will hold a Wreath Making Workshop for kids in celebration of Veteran’s Day. Each participant will assemble a decorative wreath adorned with burlap and cranberries\, while Museum Educator Catherine Lipper discusses the significance and history of the holiday in the United States. \nRegister online.

On the walk\, participants will learn to practice mindfulness while out in nature\, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds around us. Afterwards we will learn to write one word in calligraphy with a brush pen\, creating a finished piece on beautiful handmade paper.
