The Conservatory of Dance is also pleased to have a few parents stepping into the spotlight this year for charming cameo roles. Their involvement and enthusiasm underscores the studio’s spirit of family and community. For anyone seeking a heartwarming holiday outing\, the Conservatory of Dance’s Nutcracker is a must-see event. It’s not just a performance — it’s a celebration of creativity\, community and the joy that dance and the holiday spirit brings to children and families alike. \nThere will be two performances on Sunday\, Dec. 14 — 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. — at the Wilton High School Clune Center for Performing Arts.

SUMMARY:Fairfield County Dance Festival Comes to Schenck's Island
DESCRIPTION:Fresh off the heels of Wilton’s recent Food Truck Festival\, the Fairfield County Dance Festival is headed to Wilton for the very first time\, on Thursday\, July 17 at Schenck’s Island in Wilton Center. \nThe Fairfield County Dance Festival is an annual\, free\, open-air summer performance series produced by East Coast Contemporary Ballet (Norwalk) and Thomas/Ortiz Dance (New Canaan). Curated for and touring throughout Fairfield County\, this dance festival provides greater accessibility to the arts and promotes community engagement. In addition to ECCB and Thomas/Ortiz Dance\, the touring festival features other local artists\, guest dance companies and musicians. \nThe Wilton tour stop is presented by East Coast Contemporary Ballet and sponsored by Wilton’s WildBloom Skincare\, and the event brings together world-class professional dance\, community\, celebration and local flavor for a free and unforgettable evening. \nThe festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a curated lineup of food trucks offering delicious\, diverse options for every craving. Food trucks include Chef Jeff’s BBQ\, JJB Wood Fire Pizza Truck\, The Chamo\, Los Pablanos and Jim’s Ice Cream Truck. Local businesses will be on hand for fun shopping as well. \nAt 5:30 p.m.\, the stage turns local with special community performances by talented young dancers from Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet and a special kids’ pop-up hip hop class from Wilton’s Conservatory of Dance\, with a proud showcase of Wilton’s youth and the strength of local arts education. \nThen\, at 6:30 p.m.\, the main event showcasing ballet\, contemporary and modern dance begins: a professional performance featuring dancers from East Coast Contemporary Ballet\, Thomas/Ortiz Dance and Ballet Frontier. Tickets for the “Decades” Spring Gala Fundraiser are on sale now. \nThe evening will honor the past decades\, bring us together for a festive party\, and raise funds to help ensure a strong future. \nThe celebration features passed hors d’oeuvres\, an open bar\, an elegant sit-down dinner\, a live DJ and dancing\, a silent auction\, a wine pull\, a paddle raise\, and more. Nostalgia will fill the air as partygoers travel through time: they’ll start with the Roaring ’20s\, cruise through the ’50s and ’60s\, do the ‘70s hustle\, flash back to the ’80s\, and party like it’s 1999. Dancing to music will transport guests to another time and the festive atmosphere will feature iconic items that defined earlier days. \nDecades will be held on Friday\, April 4\, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at Wilton Library. Tickets are on sale now at $225 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets include dinner\, dancing and open bar. DESCRIPTION:**This event has been POSTPONED** \nWilton Pride\, in partnership with the Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT)\, is pleased to announce the first Push N’ Pull Parade happening Sunday\, June 25\,  from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the NRVT in Wilton. The event will feature music\, festivities\, flare\, ‘Best’ contests\, and much more. The Parade is part of Be You\, a series of events organized by Wilton Pride in collaboration with town organizations and businesses to celebrate Pride Month in June. \nStart out at the trailhead on Rt. 7 at Wolfpit Road\, best accessed from across from the commuter parking lot in Wilton. Once there\, participants will check-in with registration\, be motivated to get into the parade spirit (including a selfie booth full with props and swag)\, and encouraged to enter the ‘Best’ contests (details below). \nThen paraders will take their Pride to the Trail! \nWalk\, dance\, run\, bike\, stroll\, roll\, and enjoy the beautiful NRVT. The parade route leads to the parking lot at Sharp Hill Road & Autumn Ridge Drive for the next bit of fun. \nOnce there\, participants can enjoy some treats\, listen to music\, and hang out. There will be an opportunity to meet new people\, learn about Proud Academy\, Pollinator Pathways\, and different ways to support the NRVT and Wilton Pride. Also\, all the ‘Best’ contest winners will be announced here! \nPride Best Dressed Contest: Make sure to Dress To Impress! DESCRIPTION:Families are invited to a special performance at the Wilton Library in the Brubeck Room to celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day and the Lunar New Year. \nOn Saturday\, Feb. 5\, from 11 a.m.-11:45 a.m.\, come to the Wilton Library to see the amazing acrobatics of Li Liu! She will blend artistic cycling\, acrobatics\, and balancing for a fun-filled program. She tells stories and incorporates Chinese folklore into her act. \nThis program is generously sponsored by Mitch Ancona of Ancona’s Wines & Liquors in Wilton and Ridgefield. Registration required. \nWhile it is our hope to offer this program in person\, should circumstances require it we will switch to Zoom\, and send all registrants an email with the link the day before the program. DESCRIPTION:The Trackside Teen Center executive staff and the Board of Directors are hosting an 80’s Nights-themed fundraising night to help continue to raise awareness and funds to benefit the teen center. \nIt’s an evening of karaoke\, open bar\, food \, trivia\, and incredible 80s music for all guests to enjoy. Guests (adults 21-and-over) are encouraged to wear 80s attire but the request is not mandatory. Tickets can be purchased online on the Town of Wilton website.
