McCarthy from Woodcock Nature Center will highlight the seasonal changes taking place and point out migratory birds and native plants along the way. \nThis family-friendly event is a great opportunity to connect with nature\, explore a lesser-known Wilton Land Trust preserve\, and learn more about local ecology. \nPlease wear long pants with socks and sturdy shoes — tick precautions are required. No prior experience needed — just bring your curiosity! \nMcCarthy is an environmental educator at Woodcock Nature Center. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science from Evergreen State College in Washington State and recently completed UConn’s Master Gardener program. Connecticut’s beautiful nature preserves played a large role in the development of Tommy’s interests in science and the environment\, and he is an enthusiast when it comes to exploring nature and watching wildlife — especially birdwatching!

Fall sightings in recent years have included bobolinks\, dickcissels\, indigo buntings\, a variety of warblers\, orioles\, flycatchers\, sparrows\, as well as several species of soaring raptors including bald eagle. \n\nRegister online. \nThe event is drizzle or shine. DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Chamber of Commerce\, in collaboration with ASML and the Town of Wilton\, is delighted to announce the return of the eagerly awaited Pumpkin Parade and Trick or Treating event in Wilton Center on Saturday\, Oct. 25\, from 2-4 p.m.! \nEveryone is invited to dress up in their spookiest or most creative costumes and collect treats throughout Wilton Center. Gather at the Town Green Gazebo (101 Old Ridgefield Rd.) for some frightful fun\, as we present spooktacular interactive games and activities designed for the whole family! \nPrepare for a day filled with howling good music and abundant entertainment as the Town Green and Wilton Center become a (not-so) scary party. Local businesses and non-profit organizations will be out in full force\, distributing sweet treats to all the ghouls\, goblins\, princes and princesses joining in the fun! \nTo ensure the safety of all trick-or-treaters\, a section of Old Ridgefield Rd.\, from the Town Green to Godfrey Rd.\, will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event. \nWe extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous local businesses\, retailers and organizations whose support makes these fall festivities possible\, showcasing Wilton as a wonderful destination to shop\, dine and enjoy community life.

As a parent\, you want to advocate for your child\, but the steps to access support — whether through school or privately — can be confusing. Pediatric neuropsychologist Yael Rothman\, PhD\, will discuss reasons for seeking an evaluation\, what is typically assessed\, and how evaluations may differ depending on the setting. Understanding the results of the assessment is critical\, yet parents may leave feedback sessions feeling uncertain about what the findings mean or what to do next.
