DESCRIPTION:The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh\, Wilton Chapter hosts this exhibition at the Comstock Community Center which provides glimpses into various facets of Hindu Dharma and Civilization (traditions\, divinity\, scriptures\, spiritual paths\, dharma and sewa – service)\, Culture (festivals\, temples\, symbols etc.) and Contribution (yoga\, science\, architecture etc.) and some fun filled learning. This event is for all ages and people of all walks of life to engage in creating an open-minded environment of mutual respect and inspiration. \nIt would be an honor if community members could grace the event with their presence for this exhibition. Attendance with other members of individuals’ respective congregations in this event will strengthen bonds with a diverse and pluralistic community and will be an enjoyable way to share and seek knowledge with friends and family.

DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Chapter of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) invites the Wilton community to view this exhibition about Hindu Civilization. \nHindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA\, Inc.\, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that promotes self-discipline\, self-confidence\, and a spirit of selfless service for humanity through its structured values-based educational program for Hindu children and adults. Currently\, HSS operates nearly 250 branches nationwide\, including four branches in the state of Connecticut. \nHindus contribute to the surrounding society as individuals and as a community. To let our neighbors\, leaders\, educators\, and the broader community know more about Hindu Civilization\, Wilton HSS is presenting an exhibition called\, “Darshana: A Glimpse into Hindu Civilization.” We are pleased to invite you to this very first exhibition at Comstock Community Center (180 School Rd.) on Sunday\, April 3 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. \nHSS volunteers were at the forefront of humanitarian relief in their respective neighborhoods in 2020 during the challenging time of COVID-19 and helped in vaccination drives in many communities. Apart from the social service efforts — called “Sewa” projects — our annual national programs such as “Health for Humanity Yogathon” have gained in popularity in American society where people of all walks of life participate. \nThis exhibition is a platform to engage the public while fostering common ideals and shared values. This event is for all ages and people from all walks of life\, and it’s an opportunity to deepen awareness of Hindu culture and contributions to society\, creating an environment of harmonious coexistence while pursuing Universal Oneness. This exhibition provides glimpses into Hindu Dharma\, a way of life\, and Hindu Civilization\, including traditions\, culture\, contribution\, and fun facts.

DESCRIPTION:As part of the ongoing update of Wilton’s 2019-2029 Plan of Conservation and Development\, the Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission invites the public to its next public workshop on Thursday\, June 21\, at 7 p.m.\, at Trackside Teen Center (15 Station Rd.)\, to discuss conservation\, preservation and sustainability. \nAs a reminder\, written comments on the plan\, workshops or related topics can be submitted by email or via the Plan of Conservation and Development website\, where all information\, presentations\, comments\, schedules\, surveys and more are available for viewing. \nFinally\, we encourage everyone to please complete the online survey No. 5 on Wilton Center and Other Villages\, available via the Wilton2029 website or directly here. Responses are requested by June 19 for analysis at the next public workshop\, but the survey will be kept open.
