Wander further as the warmth of bonfires beckons\, inviting you to gather around for relief from the chill and a cozy ambiance for s’mores presented by the Wilton Rotary Club. \nFood trucks will offer hot and spicy\, and cool culinary delights while children are entertained by face painters and fun activities throughout the Town Green. \nJoin us for this lively celebration as we bring our community together to enjoy the festivities and support our local businesses. DESCRIPTION:Wilton will enjoy the annual Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Stroll on Friday\, Dec. 6. Together with event sponsor Kimco Realty and in partnership with the Town of Wilton\, Wilton Fire Department\, Wilton Volunteers Ambulance Corps\, and several retailers and businesses in the Town Center\, the whole community is invited to join the festivities beginning at 5 p.m.\n\n \n\n5-8 p.m. — Carolers\, crafts and toy drive: Participants can get in the holiday spirit and make their way to the Town Green to be enchanted by the strolling carolers from the Voice Studio singing holiday classics. Families can enjoy crafts and treats provided by Wilton non-profit organizations\, and meet a special “ELF” strolling through the Town Green. In addition\, the Wilton Police Department will be collecting toys for children in need.\n\n \n\n5:30-7 p.m. — Wilton Library welcomes visitors: Wilton Library staff will welcome visitors outside the library’s front entrance\, handing out special gift bags with sweet treats\, while supplies last. Children can stop by the Children’s Library to make a special bookmark to take home with their books\, and teens are welcome to visit the Teen Room to make pompom bookmarks. Library officials invite all visitors to shop for gifts and stocking stuffers at the Holiday Book Sale in the gallery.\n\n \n\n5:45 p.m. — Tree lighting and Santa: Wilton will officially kick off the Christmas season with a tree lighting ceremony followed by the much-anticipated arrival of Santa ushered in by the Wilton Fire Department’s Ladder Truck 5. Children of all ages will be able to visit Santa at the gazebo where they can share their holiday wishes and receive a special treat starting at 6 p.m.\n\n \n\n5-8 p.m. — Stroll\, shop and support Wilton’s local businesses: Celebrate the magic of the holidays and join in the festivities with Wilton retailers\, restaurants and local businesses. The Chamber encourages the community to stroll through town\, visit\, shop and enjoy the generous hospitality of participating local businesses that evening!\n\n5-8 p.m. — Marshmallow Roast: The Kiwanis Club of Wilton will once again host the marshmallow roast for the Holiday Stroll! SUMMARY:Free Youth Gardening Program at Trackside Teen Center
DESCRIPTION:Calling all teens with green thumbs!! The free Green Teens youth gardening program’s summer session begins Monday\, June 24\, from 9-11 a.m. at Trackside Teen Center. All rising middle and high school students are welcome. No gardening experience is necessary\, just an interest in nature and in helping others\, as the program is rooted (no pun intended!) in community service. The program will be held at Trackside every Monday in the summer through Aug. 19. Sign-ups are welcome at any time\, and registration is ongoing. \nAn initiative of Wilton Garden Club (WGC) and Trackside Teen Center\, Green Teens is led by experienced WGC gardeners. Its participants engage in hands-on activities like designing garden beds\, planting\, maintaining and harvesting\, as well as learning how to cook with the produce grown in their gardens. They also hear from occasional guest speakers and make creative garden art projects. From last year’s growing season\, Green Teens donated 232 pounds of fresh\, organic produce to the Wilton Food Pantry and 100 floral arrangements to the Wilton Senior Center and Wilton Commons\, all from the gardens they tended. \n“Our hope with Green Teens is to get more young people involved with creating and maintaining vegetable gardens\, to teach them about the importance of healthy foods\, and to give back to the community\,” WGC’s youth gardening committee co-chair Laurie Musilli said. “There’s something in this program for everyone.” \nTo register\, visit the Trackside Teen Center website or contact Musilli via email.

DESCRIPTION:Creepy sights and mysterious sounds abound when the moon rises at Ambler Farm. Join us for a not-too-frightful evening of spooky stories\, a haunted hayride\, and some sweet treats. This is a drop-off program for children in grades 3rd-5th only. Enrollment is limited\, advance registration is required. \nChoose from one of four nights — Friday\, Oct. 18; Saturday\, Oct. 19; Friday\, Oct. 25; or Saturday\, Oct. 26 (sold out). Each evening runs from 6-8 p.m. Please note that parents/guardians may only sign up their own child(ren). Parents cannot sign up other children. Children are not permitted to wear costumes.
