DESCRIPTION:The Great Trains Holiday Show returns to the Wilton Historical Society. \nThe Grand Opening is Friday\, Nov. 29 at 12 p.m.\, and the show runs through Martin Luther King\, Jr. Day\, Monday\, Jan. 20\, 2025. \nModel trains\, holiday cheer\, and family fun returns with one of Wilton’s favorite holiday traditions\, the Great Trains Holiday Show! Explore the Wilton Historical Society’s 18th- and 19th-century historic buildings — charmingly decorated for the holiday season — to find multiple layouts of model trains that wind their way through miniature winter landscapes\, vibrant towns\, and mountain tunnels\, and some familiar landmarks. The interactive displays and model holiday village are perfect holiday fun for all ages. Whether a model train builder or collector\, young wannabe train conductors\, or a family looking for a delightful seasonal experience\, the Great Trains Holiday Show has something for everyone. \nModel train gauges include G\, HO\, and O. \nThe Great Holiday Train Show will run Friday\, Nov. 29 through Monday\, Jan. 20\, 2025. Opening hours are Wednesdays to Saturdays\, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sundays 12-4 p.m. Entry is free for members of Wilton Historical Society; $5 per non-member child and $10 for non-member adults. There will be special holiday programming most weekends in December. \nWhile you are visiting the Train Show\, don’t miss the Betts Store Museum Shop for one-stop holiday shopping. SUMMARY:Teen Library Council
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Teen Library Council (TLC) is a monthly group for youth in grades 6-12 who are interested in becoming more involved with the library. All Wilton teens are welcome. Benefits include: helping librarians choose teen materials\, brainstorming ideas for teen programs\, gaining experience working in a leadership role\, and helping the community through service projects. \nEach meeting will consist of a small group activity and discussion of upcoming events. The group will meet the second Tuesday of each month and participants are encouraged to attend all meetings. Registration is optional\, but participants are encouraged to submit a TLC application before the first meeting. \nRegister on the Wilton Library’s website.
