DESCRIPTION:World-renowned Harlem Wizards return to Wilton High School’s Zeoli Fieldhouse on Sunday\, Nov. 2\, for an evening of basketball wizardry\, friendly competition\, and fundraising to support pre-K-12 programming and initiatives.  \nThe Wizards will play against the Wilton Warrior All-Stars\, a team of Wilton Public School teachers and staff\, bringing the Wilton community together for an unforgettable afternoon of excitement\, laughter and awe-inspiring tricks. As a parent\, you want to advocate for your child\, but the steps to access support — whether through school or privately — can be confusing. Pediatric neuropsychologist Yael Rothman\, PhD\, will discuss reasons for seeking an evaluation\, what is typically assessed\, and how evaluations may differ depending on the setting. Understanding the results of the assessment is critical\, yet parents may leave feedback sessions feeling uncertain about what the findings mean or what to do next. Visitors can join read-alouds of historical fiction books led by high school students to learn about life in the past. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view many of the Historical Society’s exciting exhibits\, such as Connecticut’s History\, Wilton’s Story\, an exhibit that shows how Wilton has evolved from a small New England agricultural village to today’s rich\, suburban environment. When not listening to read-alouds in the Historical Society’s various period rooms or viewing artifacts from Wilton’s past\, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious seasonal treats while doing fun\, historically-themed activities. \nThis is a free\, drop-in event!
