SUMMARY:Treating Concussion in the Youth Athlete (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Please join Wilton Library via Zoom for an informative presentation on concussion risk and treatment. \nA concussion can happen in an instant even with a helmet on\, and the impact can last a lifetime if not properly diagnosed and managed effectively. This year a hybrid-virtual race will be offered between Oct. 23-25 (hours of 8 a.m.-6 p.m. only) on the Woodcock Trails. Sign-up online to track your time. Run/walk on your own schedule! You can even become a fundraiser and promote your run to friends and family to increase your impact. \nFor several decades\, this event has highlighted Woodcock’s nearly five miles of publicly accessible trails and raised money for the center’s educational programs. All proceeds support the nature center! \nThe popular 5K is 90% trail with a mix of groomed trails\, rugged trails\, and narrow bridges/boardwalks. The terrain of the 5K highlights the diversity and beauty of the Woodcock property. A shorter 1K Kids Fun Run geared towards ages 6-and-up is appropriate for walkers and runners of all ages.
