DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. \nJoin the Circle of Care for a Chef/Sous-Chef Challenge benefiting families of children with cancer. This will be a fun interactive battle of local celebrity chefs paired with amateurs in a “Chopped” style competition. Participating chefs are Matt Storch of Match; Ron Gallo of The Inn at Pound Ridge; Adam Greenberg (the “Winningest” chef in Food Network TV history!) of Coconut Club in DC; and Wilton resident Brian Lewis\, of Westport’s The Cottage and Oko. \nThis tournament will feature two individual cook-offs with the winner of each going head-to-head for the final competition. There are four sous-chef positions available in exchange for a donation to Circle of Care\, contact us for this once in a lifetime opportunity to cook with a top chef. \nFinal competition kitchen has limited capacity but will be viewable from monitors. \nGeneral Admission ticket ($90): includes wine\, beer\, and tapas. DESCRIPTION:Who couldn’t use an escape to Italy right about now? While we can’t be there in person\, come join First Candle and Tyler Colman (Dr. Vino)\, the wine director at Parlor\, for a virtual wine tasting. We’ll be tasting two different wines from the leading Barolo producer\, Vietti\, from the spectacular Piedmont region of Italy\, known for Barolo wines\, truffles\, and risotto. \nLuca Currado Vietti will join via prerecorded video to comment on the wines. The white is the Roero Arneis\, an heirloom white grape variety that Luca’s father brought back from the brink of extinction\, and the red “Perbacco\,” which means “wow” in the local dialect. \nThe wines are available for pre-purchase at Parlor. All proceeds will benefit First Candle’s bereavement support for SIDS and stillbirth and education programs on safe sleep.

DESCRIPTION:Woodcock Nature Center presents Frothy Forage\, a one-of-a-kind hiking\, soda and beer tasting experience for the entire family including animal encounters\, kid’s activities\, soda sampling\, live music\, and guaranteed fun on Saturday\, April 24 (rain date: April 25) 12:00 pm -5:00 pm. At secret locations along the Woodcock trails\, participants will sample unique craft beers courtesy of event partner Nod Hill Brewery in Ridgefield. \nAn event for the entire family\, Frothy Forage also includes samplings of Connecticut’s own Hosmer Mountain Soda products including their famous root beer\, birch beer\, sarsaparilla\, and raspberry sodas. Furry family members are welcome too and will enjoy some sips and goodies along the trek courtesy of Ridgefield Pet. Local sponsors Outdoors Sports Center and Wilton Go Green will also greet guests along their trek with special surprises for everyone. \nFrothy Forage will delight the senses throughout the afternoon with everything from animal encounters\, kid’s activities\, and doughnuts from Uncle Leo’s to live music at the Woodcock pavilion and food for purchase from Bethel’s Taproot Restaurant. \nAll proceeds from this unique event will benefit environmental education programs at Woodcock Nature Center. \n21+ admission is $55 and includes one souvenir tasting glass per ticket purchased\, snacks and goodies from our sponsors\, and a one-of-a-kind trek through the woods and wetlands of Woodcock with Nod Hill Beer sampling at stations along the way.
