SUMMARY:Wilton Children’s Theater 2018-2019 Online Registration Closes Aug. 31
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Children’s Theater is offering registration for its school-year shows\, online now through August 31. The two shows this year are Annie\, with performances Nov. 16\, 17 and 18\, 2018 and Disney’s\nThe Little Mermaid\, with performances March 15\, 16\, and 17\, 2019. \nIn addition\, in-person registration will take place on Wednesday and Thursday\, Sept. 5 and 6\, from 5-7 p.m. in the Middlebrook Cafeteria. \nWilton Children’s Theater is truly a Wilton tradition; founded in 1976\, WCT is proud to begin its 42nd season! \nSchool-year shows are open to Wilton children who will be in 4th-8th grade during the 2018-19 school year. Students must choose one show\, and all registration happens now; there is no later registration for the March show. Rehearsals for both shows are from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Middlebrook Auditorium. For Annie\, rehearsals are Tuesdays\, Wednesdays and Fridays from September through the last show\, and for Disney’s The Little Mermaid\, rehearsals are Mondays\, Wednesdays and Fridays from January through the last show. \nWCT hires professional directors\, music directors\, and choreographers for its shows\, most who have worked with the organization for many years. More dates and details can be found on the website. \nLast year\, the organization put on Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka in November\, and Oliver! in March. The shows were very popular with audiences and actors alike. \nWCT Board vice president Andrea Bates says\, “I love to see the camaraderie and teamwork between all the students in the show. The older ones help the younger ones\, and it’s a great way for kids to get to know each other\, and then know children in all of the schools. Plus\, everyone learns that regardless of the size of your part\,\nit’s fun to go to rehearsal each day\, be with your friends\, and be onstage and part of the big numbers.”

SUMMARY:"I Love You\, You're Perfect\, Now Change" at the Wilton Playshop
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Playshop is proud to present the hilarious musical revue\, I Love You\, You’re Perfect\, Now Change. Directed by Nancy L. Meyer with musical direction by Zach Kampler and choreography by Christine Titus\, the show will run from Oct. 26-Nov. 10\, 2018. \nThis longest running off-Broadway revue in history is everything you have ever secretly thought about dating\, romance\, marriage\, lovers\, spouses\, and in-laws\, but were afraid to admit. With book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts\, the show has been recently revised for the 21st century. The 2018 version features two new songs\, revised lyrics\, and dialogue throughout the show to reflect dating in modern times. \nThis celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as ‘the relationship.’ Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage\, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns\, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. This uproarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost\, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance\, to those who have dared to ask\, ‘Say\, what are you doing Saturday night?’ \nPerformances: Oct. 26\, 27 and Nov. 2\, 3\, 9\, and 10 at 8 p.m.. Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.. \nTickets: $35/adults\, $30/seniors and students \nParental guidance suggested for adult themes and language. \nFor more information\, visit the Wilton Playshop online.

Based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson\, this holiday favorite was adapted for the stage by Eric Schaeffer. Jeffrey Spector will direct and Christine Titus will choreograph this stage adaptation of the classic animated television special in which Charlie Brown\, Snoopy\, and the other Peanuts grapple with the real meaning of Christmas. \nWhen Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees during the Christmas season\, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts\, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When his attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas tree fails\, Linus helps him learn the true meaning of Christmas. \nRecommended for children of all ages. Approximate running time is 40 minutes. \nTickets:  $20/adults\, $15/ages 12 and under \nFor more information\, visit the Wilton Playshop website.
