Wilton Historical’s historic 18th and 19th-century buildings are charmingly decorated and transformed into a train-lovers delight with many different model train layouts winding through tiny towns with a variety of buildings\, tunnels\, and all sorts of delightful animals showing up in unexpected places! The show enchants visitors of all ages with lots of buttons to push and knowledgeable “train engineers” on hand to “talk trains”. Visitors can also see a marvelous miniature holiday village\, twinkling with lights. \nMembers can view the show for free while non-member adults cost $10 and non-member kids cost $5. DESCRIPTION:At 12 p.m. on Saturday\, Dec. 18\, the Capt. David Hawley Society Children of the American Revolution\, Drum Hill Daughters of the American Revolution\, and the Wilton Congregational Church will sponsor a Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony at historic Sharp Hill Cemetery at the corner of Sharp Hill Rd. and Route 7/Danbury Rd.\, in Wilton. \nIn many homes\, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no more meaningful time to express our appreciation than during the holiday season. \nContributions are appreciated and can be made online but are not necessary. All participants are welcome and there is no need to donate in order to lay wreaths or be a part of the ceremony. \nWe hope you will join us for Wreaths Across America Day here in Wilton\, or at any of the other 2\,500 participating locations across America\, for this beautiful and moving ceremony that shows our veterans and their families that we will never forget.

Wilton Historical’s historic 18th and 19th-century buildings are charmingly decorated and transformed into a train-lovers delight with many different model train layouts winding through tiny towns with a variety of buildings\, tunnels\, and all sorts of delightful animals showing up in unexpected places! The show enchants visitors of all ages with lots of buttons to push and knowledgeable “train engineers” on hand to “talk trains”. Visitors can also see a marvelous miniature holiday village\, twinkling with lights. \nMembers can view the show for free while non-member adults cost $10 and non-member kids cost $5. SUMMARY:Town of Wilton: Board of Finance Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Board of Finance exercises oversight of the Town of Wilton’s finances. The primary function of the Board of Finance is to recommend a budget and a mill rate to the Annual Town Meeting. The Board also has the power to designate the external auditor and to approve supplemental appropriations upon the request of the Board of Selectmen or the Board of Education. DESCRIPTION:The Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) is a nine-member elected body responsible for overseeing land use and development activity within Wilton. Join us from 2:30-5 p.m. and enjoy some hot chocolate and time with Santa to tell him your Christmas wishes. \nThis will be an outdoor event unless inclement weather brings us inside\, so dress warm and bring your cameras.
