The important benefit will take place online for an entire month\, from Thursday\, Nov. 5–Thursday\, Dec. 5! Shop online at your convenience from a “by-invitation” group of makers. There is plenty of time for thoughtful gifting and delivery for the holidays. Go to the Wilton Historical Society website to start shopping on Nov. 5! Every purchase will support the Wilton Historical Society\, as well as the talented artisans from nine states who have hand-made wares for sale. \nAccording to Judy Higby\, chair of the American Artisan Show\, “We will really miss having the annual show and a festive party in our beautiful historic buildings\, but this year that is just not possible. So we have worked very hard to find a new way to support these wonderful artisans who are hard-hit by a lack of fairs and shows at which to sell. You won’t have to spend a frustrating time searching online for well-made and interesting items. The American Artisan Show has pre-selected a terrific group for you\, just like our usual show.” \nThe event is an important fundraising effort for the Wilton Historical Society\, supporting the education and historic preservation mission. More than 20 highly-skilled artisans from across the country will be presenting their hand-crafted contemporary and traditional furnishings and wearables in an easy to use online shopping venue. Dr. Harel is a musicologist and music theorist whose interests include styles ranging from the western classical repertoire to jazz. DESCRIPTION:The Board of Finance is a six-member elected board that exercises oversight of the Town of Wilton’s finances. The primary function of the Board of Finance is to recommend a budget and a mill rate to the Annual Town Meeting. The Board also has the power to designate the external auditor and to approve supplemental appropriations upon the request of the Board of Selectmen or the Board of Education. The Board reviews bonding proposals prior to consideration by the Annual Town Meeting and the Connecticut General Statutes grant certain powers to the Board\, such as approving investments of Town funds. \nThe BOF meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.\, most usually in Town Hall Room B.

DESCRIPTION:Meeting at the Comstock Community Center on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:15 p.m.\, the Economic Development Commission (EDC) works to improve Wilton’s reputation as a place where the enhanced quality of life for workers and residents attracts new businesses\, relocation of current businesses\, and success for existing businesses. The 10-person commission has worked since 2012 to assist current business owners in maintaining and expanding their businesses\, to increase available commercial space in the town\, and to expand the commercial sector through fostering a friendly attitude towards business in Wilton.

Each week students will learn new strategies and then pair up using Chess.com to practice playing. The Commission serves in an advisory role in support of the Board of Selectmen. It also provides education to the community on energy related topics. The Energy Commission is comprised of nine members who serve in two year terms. \nThe Energy Commission meets on the third Tuesday of every month.
