The Wilton Catholic school will host an online fundraising auction from Dec. 11-18 (ending at midnight) featuring gifts to celebrate the winter season. \n“The Annual Gala and Live Auction represents our largest fundraising effort of the year. We are embracing the ‘new normal’ by bringing this event online\,” noted fundraising chair Clara Taveras. “All the items have been donated by parents\, alumni\, and members of our larger community. The Online Auction will provide a safe\, socially-distanced experience for people to shop or donate to support OLFCA.” \nOrganizers say that this year’s Auction features gifts to celebrate any winter holiday\, as well as selections specific to Christmas. The selections include such items as a Solo Stove kit\, sporting gear\, COVID-19 survival baskets\, and gift baskets featuring items from local merchants. The auction also provides options to support OLFCA or provide a special “thank you” to the OLFCA teachers. \nA preview of the items is available now online\, with bidding starting on Friday\, Dec. 11\, and running through midnight on Friday\, Dec. 18. \n“In these extraordinary times\, our teachers and staff have been exceptional. They have worked tirelessly to maintain a safe school environment in accordance with all applicable regulations and safety protocols to provide 5 day a week in-person education\,” Principal Stanley Steele said. “I receive calls daily seeking information on enrollment\, which just opened for the 2021-2022 school year. SUMMARY:Winter Holiday Drive-Through at Comstock Community Center
DESCRIPTION:Parks and Recreation is hosting a Winter Holiday Drive-Through event at Comstock Community Center on Friday\, Dec. 18. \nThe Holiday drive-through will take place at Comstock Community Center’s main entrance loop. Families driving through can expect to check out elaborate holiday décor\, great costumes\, standard holiday favorite music\, and most importantly\, candy! Families visiting the drive-through won’t be exiting their vehicles–they’ll simply drive straight up to where Parks and Rec staff will be handing out candy canes in a socially distanced fashion. \nSome of the precautions taken to manage participant safety include designated entry and exit points for the drive-through\, screening of staff prior to building entry\, and rigorous use of PPE for staff during the event. Parks and Recreation has coordinated with the Department of Public Health to ensure all public health guidelines and policies are being abided by. \nholidayThe Winter Holiday drive-through kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday\, Dec. 18 and runs until 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Families are encouraged to wear costumes (not required) and decorate their vehicles. \nQuestions and comments should be directed to Wilton’s Parks and Recreation Office at 203.834.6234 or emailed to Kregg Zulkeski.

Joining from London will be special guest Crazy Coqs cabaret club owner and cabaret singer Harold Sanditen who is also the host of the award-winning “Harold Sanditen’s Open Mic Party.” From Seattle\, Washington\, comes cabaret singer Judy Ann Moulton who has wowed audiences with her big band Judy Garland tribute\, “Judy does Judy.” New York City brings the lovely voices of regional and Off-Broadway singer/actor Natalie Michaels\, regional actor/singer Caitlin Witty (both Wilton natives)\, and veteran opera and cabaret singer Mark Cummings. Fairfield County talent includes the beautiful voices of veteran performers Nancy Limbacher Meyer\, Jerry O’Neil\, Kellen Schult\, Christina Kampler\, Al Recchia\, and local jazz and R & B singer Michael Dunham. \nThe cabaret will be livestreamed on the Wilton Playshop’s YouTube channel\, Facebook page\, and through Zoom.
