Together\, they have created an opportunity for families to venture outside\, explore nature\, listen to stories\, and make an upcycled craft. As partners\, they elevate young minds within beautiful landscapes. \nThe Wilton Land Trust is a community-focused nonprofit organization that conserves land\, protects biodiversity\, enhances ecosystems\, and builds community. \nThe Wilton Library is the cultural and intellectual center of Wilton: informing\, enriching\, connecting\, and inspiring the Wilton community. \nWilton Go Green is committed to engaging\, educating\, and inspiring Wilton residents to embrace a lifestyle of environmental sustainability. \nAt the event: \nA member of the Wilton Children’s Library staff will read hand-curated books and sing interactive songs. Tammy Thornton\, President of Wilton Go Green\, will guide an upcycled craft.​​ David McCarthy of Wilton Land Trust will lead a short and sweet\, guided nature walk. \nPlease remember to bring a blanket\, snack\, or something to drink\, and join for some fresh air to celebrate community\, nature\, and a good book. \nFall 2024 BOOKS & A BLANKET SERIES: \nFriday\, Sept. 20 — 10 a.m. \nRain date — Sept. 27 \nTheme:  Pumpkins \nWalter Preserve: \n688 Ridgefield Road\, Wilton\, CT 06897.
