Dr. Larry A. Maxwell. The event takes place on Saturday\, March 16\, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.\, at the Redding Country Club\, 109 Lonetown Road\, Redding\, CT. \nMost people know Benedict Arnold was an infamous traitor but do they know he was also a great American hero? Come learn more about the complex life and other side of Arnold. Col. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Hillside Cemetery and Arboretum in the Never Forget Garden\, for a special event called Patriots’ Day. \nWe will visit the graves of several Wilton patriots and reflect on how they contributed — both in service and in spirit — to this chapter of American History. \nAfterward\, we are all invited to the Wilton Library at 7 p.m. for a Patriots’ Day Program\, sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution\, Drum Hill Chapter entitled “Revolutionary Choices: Patriotism\, Loyalism\, Neutrality and the fate of the American Revolution.” Dr. Jonathon Awtrey will speak about the origins of the American Revolution and will consider how and why Anglo-Americans chose to side with the Patriots or Loyalists or remain neutral.
