DESCRIPTION:Join St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church for an online training with The Dougy Center on Thursday\, March 18\, 5:30 PM -8:30 PM  for two sessions: Companioning Children and Teens who are Grieving During COVID-19 and Understanding Suicide: Supporting Children and Adults. \nWhile the first session will be fairly broad – after all\, which one of us isn’t grieving something during the time of COVID? – the second session will focus more specifically on suicide postvention. In honor of our veterans this Memorial Day 2021\, we are offering a three-part series with Sheila Russo\, LCSW on grief and loss from a veteran’s perspective including how grief is experienced differently for a veteran. \nIn this three-part series\, we will come together to explore these issues\, as well as the difficulty of asking for help\, resiliency\, finding a new normal\, and connecting with Veteran resources. \nPlease join us on Tuesday\, May 4\, Tuesday\, May 11\, and Tuesday\, May 18 from 7:00-8:30 pm via Zoom. \nAll Veterans are welcome\, as are those who are connected to a Veteran who would benefit from this conversation.
