DESCRIPTION:April is Poetry Month and in this 2-part program\, children will learn about the importance of poetry in these difficult times. In the first part of the program\, we will read and discuss Amanda Gorman’s iconic poem “The Hill We Climb” that she wrote for and read at the 2021 Inauguration. The second part of the program will feature women poets of the Harlem Renaissance. \nCopies of the poems will be available to registrants at the Drive-Thru Window at Godfrey Place.
