DESCRIPTION:Join Wilton Library for a Wilton Youth Council Parenting Series event. This panel discussion considers how play contributes to a healthy childhood and sets kids up for greater independence. See panelists connect conversation with clips from the award-winning documentary\, Chasing Childhood\, which focuses on three communities in the tri-state area\, including Wilton\, and discusses many elements of what makes a healthy childhood. Panelists include: Laure Friedman\, pediatric occupational therapist; Bernadette Hess\, assistant principal at the Early Learning Center at Miller Driscoll; and Meghan Perazella\, CEO and co-founder of The Hangout Spot. \nA Q&A follows the panel. Before attending\, participants are encouraged to view the Chasing Childhood documentary\, which is free on YouTube — see event listing for link.
