SUMMARY:Winter Holiday Drive-Through at Comstock Community Center
DESCRIPTION:Parks and Recreation is hosting a Winter Holiday Drive-Through event at Comstock Community Center on Friday\, Dec. 18. \nThe Holiday drive-through will take place at Comstock Community Center’s main entrance loop. Families driving through can expect to check out elaborate holiday décor\, great costumes\, standard holiday favorite music\, and most importantly\, candy! Families visiting the drive-through won’t be exiting their vehicles–they’ll simply drive straight up to where Parks and Rec staff will be handing out candy canes in a socially distanced fashion. \nSome of the precautions taken to manage participant safety include designated entry and exit points for the drive-through\, screening of staff prior to building entry\, and rigorous use of PPE for staff during the event. Parks and Recreation has coordinated with the Department of Public Health to ensure all public health guidelines and policies are being abided by. \nholidayThe Winter Holiday drive-through kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday\, Dec. 18 and runs until 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. It focuses on celebrating local artisans and small businesses for Small Business Saturday. Marché is the perfect opportunity for residents and visitors to support their community while discovering one-of-a-kind gifts just in time for the holidays. \nEntry Fee: Free. Suggested donation of $10 with portion of proceeds donated to Wilton Social Services \nCurated by Wilton residents Katie Nelson and Kerry Ray\, Marché offers a carefully curated collection of artwork\, jewelry\, home décor\, and specialty foods\, among other unique goods. The event provides local artisans and small business owners a platform to showcase their talent while encouraging holiday shoppers to buy local.  \nA portion of the collected proceeds will be donated to the Town of Wilton Social Services Department\, providing meals and gifts for Wilton families in need during the holiday season. However\, there are no restrictions on other collections\, so join us for a great way to interact with other collectors and acquire unique finds! \nEntrants will have access to our giveaway\, opening trading board\, and all pin trading activities! \nIf you wish to reserve a table in advance\, there will be a $20 fee.
