DESCRIPTION:Wilton Library staff will welcome visitors during this year’s Holiday Stroll on Friday\, Dec. 3\, from 5:30 to 7 pm. \nOutside the front entrance\, special gift bags with sweet treats will be handed out while supplies last. Visitors are invited to purchase an “ornament” from the Giving Tree\, buy Hanukkah Gelt for the Children’s Library\, and shop for gifts at the Holiday Book Sale. All proceeds benefit the library. \nFor visitors of all ages\, warm up inside and admire the entries for the Bakers & Builders Gingerbread Competition – Police Edition and cast votes for the “Community Favorite” prize.

For example\, they might not understand that our kids often need to self-regulate in ways they’re not used to: by crawling into a quiet\, soft space; laying on a cold surface; spending more—not less— time on screens; jumping on a trampoline—or mattress or couch— or chewing on a T-shirt. \nJustyna Balzar\, MEd\, BCBA\, co-founder of The Hangout Spot\, will join us for a short presentation\, followed by a lively discussion about strategies and scripts we can use to calm ourselves and our kids during particularly challenging times. \nWe will meet in a parent’s home in Wilton.
