SUMMARY:NRVT's Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) introduces “Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual”\, a fun replacement for the Annual Mutt Strut Fundraiser which was canceled due to COVID-19. Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual gives everyone the chance to showcase their dogs\, win prizes\, and raise funds to build more of the NRVT. Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual begins May 16 and runs to June 5. \nPost your favorite picture of your dog (or other friends.. cat\, ferret\, bunny\, etc.) or share a short video of clip of those crazy dog tricks. The Top Dog/Cutest Pet/Best Video entries will win prizes for pets and their humans\, including Cannondale Bikes\, Joy Food fresh dog food\, grooming\, and other prizes in addition to the prestigious Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual trophies. \nPlease visit the website for entry directions and check the Mutt Strut & Friends Virtual Leaderboard daily to see the leading “mutts”. \nDuring the Coronavirus crisis\, the NRVT had trail use spike by over 150%. The NRVT has eight miles of completed trail and 22 more miles to build. All proceeds from this event help build more community-friendly multipurpose trail. \nFriends of the NRVT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit\, dedicated to the creation of a 30-mile\, multi-use\, handicap accessible\, soft surface trail running through the heart of Fairfield County–from Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk\, through Wilton\, Ridgefield\, and Redding\, terminating at Rogers Park in Danbury. \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) is bringing its signature event back to the community for the fourth time and this time with a theme! “Mutt Strut & Friends Howl-O-Ween Edition\,” a family event and fundraiser\, will be held in person on Saturday\, Oct. 22 from 3-5 p.m. at the Quarry Pond Trail at the Rtes. 7 and 106 (Danbury and Wolfpit Rds.) Commuter Lot. \nAfter a hiatus due to COVID\, NRVT Mutt Strut & Friends will be held outside and in-person and feature contests while owners enjoy the Trail with their pets. Prizewinners include: \n\nCutest\nBest Costume\nBiggest Personality\n\nRegister online; cost is $25 per pet.
