SUMMARY:The Greens at Cannondale Parkinson's Art Therapy Series
DESCRIPTION:Join The Greens at Cannondale for this meaningful Art Therapy Series for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. This series is provided in collaboration with the Connecticut Parkinson’s Disease Association. \nConnecting Through Art is a creative afrts program that offers people with Parkinson’s disease the space and ability to express feelings\, emotions and daily concerns through art. It is open to any adult who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers. \nArt therapist Katrina Casey will guide participants through a series of watercolor activities. Each month’s class will have a different theme. Guided mindfulness is also incorporated in each class. \nThere are two classes in the fall series:  Wednesday\, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.\, and Wednesday\, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Complimentary lunch will be offered to participants after the program by The Greens. \nTo register or for additional information\, contact APDA Connecticut Chapter via email or by calling 860.996.4276. \nThe program is free and art supplies will be provided at no cost to participants. Registration is required.
