DESCRIPTION:Wilton’s American Legion Post 86 is collecting items for male and female veterans who are homeless and in the process of transitioning to a new life. The following items are needed:  NEW clothing\, bedding\, pillows and blankets; personal hygiene products for men and women; household cleaning products; clear medium/large storage bins; calendars/journals\, combination/key locks\, cookware/utensils\, copier paper\, desk lamps\, flash drives\, food storage (bags/containers)\, plastic hangers\, pens/pencils\, umbrellas and GBT Bus Tokens/$25 gift cards for department stores (Walmart\, Target)\, grocery stores\, gas cards. These items will help these veterans return to meaningful\, productive lives. \nPlease stop by Wilton’s American Legion and meet with a Homes for the Brave representative who will answer any questions you may have.

DESCRIPTION:Marching in this year’s parade — with the theme “Honor Their Sacrifice” — will be veterans\, bagpipers\, military vehicles\, antique cars\, emergency vehicles\, dignitaries\, Scout troops\, the Wilton High School band\, and local organizations and sports teams. \nThe parade starts at 21 River Rd. at 10 a.m. and proceeds through Wilton Center.
