New Toy Store Coming to Wilton Center

Signs announcing a new store have appeared in the prominent windows of the long-vacant River Rd.-facing corner store in the Wilton River Park Plaza.  We haven’t tracked down the owner yet, but Wilton will soon welcome Town Center Toys to the Village Center.

Wilton has been missing a toy store since Ridgefield-based Toy Chest closed its location one year ago in the same Kimco-owned shopping plaza.

Middlebrook 8th Grader Heads to 31st National Geographic Bee Championship

From Middlebrook principal Lauren Feltz:  “On Friday, March 29, Middlebrook School 8th grader Lukas Koutsoukos won the Connecticut National Geographic Bee. Koutsoukos, who represented Wilton after winning Middlebrook’s geography bee for the third year in a row in January, finished first out of 100 state finalists and proved himself to be one of the finest geographic minds in the state.

“On Monday, May 20, Lukas will be in Washington, DC representing the state of Connecticut, Wilton, and Middlebrook School at the 31st National Geographic Bee, competing for a $25,000 college scholarship, $1,000 in cash, a lifetime membership in the National Geographic Society, and an all-expenses-paid Lindblad Expedition trip to the Galápagos Islands aboard the National Geographic Endeavour II.”
