Just when it looked like this year’s Chamber of Commerce Pumpkin Parade and Wilton Center Halloween Walk wouldn’t have a portrait photography fundraiser as it did in years past, there’s GOOD news. Photographer Justin Baiad has been confirmed to take over the effort.

For the last four years, Wilton photographer Andrea Topalian of Moments by Andrea Photography has staged a Halloween backdrop in the Town Green Gazebo to shoot portraits of costumed families as a fundraiser for the Wilton Community Assistance Fund. Families could make a donation of $20 or more, and she would shoot adorable images that the donor families would receive. In the four years since Topalian created the effort, it has become a much loved tradition for many Wilton families–and one that raises $2,500-$3,000 each year. Unfortunately, she was unable to continue it this year.

Enter Baiad, who stepped forward to volunteer his time and services toward the effort, 100-percent of which again will benefit the Wilton Community Assistance Fund, a 501(c)(3) that helps Wilton families struggling with short term financial difficulties due illness, loss of employment or death in the family.

Everyone attending Saturday’s Pumpkin Parade is invited to visit Justin Baiad Photography at the Town Green Gazebo from 12-2 p.m. (or later if there is still a line at 2 p.m.). He will have a fall Halloween scene (hay stacks, corn stalks, pumpkins and spider webs) set up for free portraits as a gift for any donation of $20 or more to the Wilton Community Assistance Fund.

Each family gets a few images for only $20, (cash or checks, payable to the Wilton Community Assistance Fund, will be accepted), and the images will be available for free download from Baiad within two weeks of the event.
