DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 20 is a great day to bring your kids to Weir Farm National Historic Park! The Friends of Weir Farm will join the National Park Trust’s Kids to Parks Day in encouraging kids and families to visit local\, state\, and national parks.\n\n\nStop by the Friends of Weir Farm tent from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an afternoon of special Junior Ranger and black bear-themed activities. Go on an Art Bears scavenger hunt and check out the colorful new Art Bears installation. Earn a Junior Ranger Badge by completing one of the fun activities that promote black bear awareness. Create your own bear hat!\n\n\nWhile you are there\, hike to the pond. Take part in art using free art supplies and create your very own work of art! Step back in history and tour the fabulous Weir House and artists’ studios.\n\n\nIt is sure to be a great day at the park! All activities are free and open to “kids” of all ages. Rain or shine.
