DESCRIPTION:Join Outdoor Sports Center for a guided hike and trail run through the Woodcock Nature Center as part of our new Summer Hike Series\, happening once a month at a local trail system in our surrounding area. Choose between two different pace groups of either trail running or a leisurely hike that will range from 2-4 miles at a moderate pace. We are excited to be joined on these hikes by Merrell\, who will be offering a chance to test out their new line of trail running shoes and hikers (the Trail Glove 5\, or Nova and Antora). We will also be setting up a trail mix bar for everyone to make their own snack before the hike begins. This shoe is specifically designed to dry out fast when hiking near water and protect your feet from debris. It is the perfect water shoe for paddleboarding\, canoeing\, or hiking upstream\, and we are excited for the chance to get our feet wet and put the Choprock shoe to the test!\n\n\nThis park also has a great lookout and challenging terrain. We will be meeting at 9 a.m. at the main parking lot of Topstone Park (72 Topstone Rd\, Redding) and head out by 9:15 am. DESCRIPTION:Join Outdoor Sports Center for a chance to test Merrell’s new Trail Glove 5\, Nova or Antora Trail Shoes during this hike. We will be accompanied by Leave No Trace master teacher Heather Darley\, teaching us the best ways to make little to no impact on the natural environment. Merrell is also generously offering prizes and a swag bag raffle to one lucky winner. We will meet at 9 a.m. at the entrance of Devil’s Den Land Preserve (33 Pent Rd\, Weston\, CT) to set out on our hike by 9:15 a.m.. Please register for this event online.
