DESCRIPTION:Join family and friends for Wilton’s 4th of July celebration on Tuesday\, July 4 at the Wilton High School (WHS) Complex at 395 Danbury Rd./Kristine Lilly Way. The town-sponsored fireworks event begins at 5 p.m. with a Dance to the Music DJ. Bring a blanket\, chairs and a picnic and enjoy the music with a couple thousand of your fellow Wilton residents. A traditional 4th of July-style fireworks show will kick off at sundown estimated to be around 8:30 p.m.\n\n\nParking passes for the Route 7 Tennis Courts\, Cider Mill School\, the Wilton Board of Education parking lot\, and Lilly Way athletic fields can be purchased online for $35 per vehicle on the Parks and Recreation Online Registration System.\n\n\nPasses can also be purchased at the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department office in Comstock Community Center (180 School Rd.). Passes will be available through Friday\, June 30 (passes will not be available for purchase on the day of the event). Vehicles without a valid parking pass will not be allowed to park in any of the reserved\, pre-paid parking lots even if space permits. Other parking outside of the pre-paid parking lots will only be available on a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\n\nThe rain date for the fireworks is Wednesday\, July 5.\n\n\n\n\n	See more related GMW stories...

Wilton residents are invited all weekend for an open house weekend to enjoy all that Merwin Meadows has to offer — swimming pond\, beach\, picnic tables and grills\, bathhouse\, and playground. (The Women’s Room at the park is under renovation but is still usable.) Park passes will not be required for residents over the holiday weekend.\n\n\nOn Memorial Day\, Wilton Parks and Recreation will be serving hot dogs at Merwin Meadows after the parade.\n\n\nPark hours are sunrise to sunset. DESCRIPTION:Parks and Recreation is hosting a Winter Holiday Drive-Through event at Comstock Community Center on Friday\, Dec. 18.\n\n\nThe Holiday drive-through will take place at Comstock Community Center’s main entrance loop. Families driving through can expect to check out elaborate holiday décor\, great costumes\, standard holiday favorite music\, and most importantly\, candy! Families visiting the drive-through won’t be exiting their vehicles–they’ll simply drive straight up to where Parks and Rec staff will be handing out candy canes in a socially distanced fashion.\n\n\nSome of the precautions taken to manage participant safety include designated entry and exit points for the drive-through\, screening of staff prior to building entry\, and rigorous use of PPE for staff during the event. Parks and Recreation has coordinated with the Department of Public Health to ensure all public health guidelines and policies are being abided by.\n\n\nholidayThe Winter Holiday drive-through kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday\, Dec. 18 and runs until 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. DESCRIPTION:Join the annual Wilton community celebration and tradition that is July 4th in Wilton. The Parks and Recreation produces a fun evening with a music\, food and fun capped off by an amazing fireworks show. All the action is on the sports fields at the Wilton High School complex along Kristine Lilly Way.\n\n\nThe evening begins at 5 p.m. with a live DJ and food trucks\, and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.. \n\n\nThe Parks and Recreation Department will be selling 4th of July Patron Parking Passes through July 3. Parking passes may be obtained by visiting the Parks and Recreation Office (180 School Rd.). Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.. Passes may also be obtained by completing and returning a form (available in the Parks and Recreation Spring/Summer Brochure\, which can be found on Parks and Recreation Department page of the Town website) to the Parks and Recreation Department office.\n\n\nReaders can also click here for the form: 2019 July 4th Parking Pass Form\n\n\nPasses will be mailed. Parking passes for remote parking locations will also be available the evening of the event at $20.00 per vehicle. Concerts will be held on Sunday evenings starting July 15 through August 5 from 5-7 p.m.\, with the first two concerts being held at Schenck’s Island with seating on the island and across the river at The Chess Park and the final two at Merwin Meadows.\n\n\nThis year’s series will feature local bands\, playing tunes from a variety of musical genres:\n\n\n\nJuly 15:  Wilton Rocks for Food All Stars\, Schenck’s Island/Chess Park\nJuly 22:  Joni & The Keepers\, Schenck’s Island/Chess Park\nJuly 29:  Swing 42\, Merwin Meadows\nAugust 5:  Treeshakers\, Merwin Meadows\n\nThe concerts will be free and concert goers are encouraged to set up a blanket or chair\, bring a picnic\, and sit back and enjoy the music.
