SUMMARY:2018 Wilton Summer Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:Wilton Parks and Recreation presents the 2018 Wilton Summer Concert Series. Concerts will be held on Sunday evenings starting July 15 through August 5 from 5-7 p.m.\, with the first two concerts being held at Schenck’s Island with seating on the island and across the river at The Chess Park and the final two at Merwin Meadows.\n\n\nThis year’s series will feature local bands\, playing tunes from a variety of musical genres:\n\n\n\nJuly 15:  Wilton Rocks for Food All Stars\, Schenck’s Island/Chess Park\nJuly 22:  Joni & The Keepers\, Schenck’s Island/Chess Park\nJuly 29:  Swing 42\, Merwin Meadows\nAugust 5:  Treeshakers\, Merwin Meadows\n\nThe concerts will be free and concert goers are encouraged to set up a blanket or chair\, bring a picnic\, and sit back and enjoy the music. SUMMARY:Wilton Day at Merwin Meadows
DESCRIPTION:Wilton’s Parks and Recreation Department is kicking off summer and showing off a refurbished Merwin Meadows by throwing a party for all Wilton residents. On Saturday\, June 16\, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, Parks & Rec is hosting “Wilton Day at Merwin Meadows” and all residents are invited for free fun and festivities. With proof of Wilton residency\, attendees will be able to enjoy free food and activities for all ages. Among the fun events and features will be face painting\, music\, corn hole\, beach volleyball\, inflatables (duel-sport combo bounce house\, climbing area and slide)\, sack races\, fencing demonstrations\, playground and swings\, and of course swimming in the Merwin pond. In addition\, Parks & Rec has a new tug-of-war rope that stretches across the entire pond and teams will compete from opposite shores; the winning team is the team that pulls its entire opposing team into the pond.\n\n\n\n\n	See more related GMW stories...
