DESCRIPTION:**This event has been POSTPONED**\n\n\nWilton Pride\, in partnership with the Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT)\, is pleased to announce the first Push N’ Pull Parade happening Sunday\, June 25\,  from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the NRVT in Wilton. The event will feature music\, festivities\, flare\, ‘Best’ contests\, and much more. The Parade is part of Be You\, a series of events organized by Wilton Pride in collaboration with town organizations and businesses to celebrate Pride Month in June.\n\n\nStart out at the trailhead on Rt. 7 at Wolfpit Road\, best accessed from across from the commuter parking lot in Wilton. Once there\, participants will check-in with registration\, be motivated to get into the parade spirit (including a selfie booth full with props and swag)\, and encouraged to enter the ‘Best’ contests (details below).\n\n\nThen paraders will take their Pride to the Trail!\n\n\nWalk\, dance\, run\, bike\, stroll\, roll\, and enjoy the beautiful NRVT. The parade route leads to the parking lot at Sharp Hill Road & Autumn Ridge Drive for the next bit of fun.\n\n \n\n\nOnce there\, participants can enjoy some treats\, listen to music\, and hang out. There will be an opportunity to meet new people\, learn about Proud Academy\, Pollinator Pathways\, and different ways to support the NRVT and Wilton Pride. Also\, all the ‘Best’ contest winners will be announced here!\n\n\nPride Best Dressed Contest: Make sure to Dress To Impress! Prizes awarded in the following categories:\n\n\n● Best Embodiment of PRIDE\n\n\n● Best Use of Color\n\n\n● Best Creative Use of Flare\n\n\nThere will be one winner in each category. DESCRIPTION:Lighthouse\, Wilton Pride and Wilton Historical Society present a night of Queer history at Wilton Historical Society! Come to Wilton Historical Society on Thursday\, March 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to learn about Queer history broadly through a fun game of Jeopardy and Queer history locally from lifetime Wiltonian and CT marriage equality advocate\, Jeffrey Busch.\n\n\nThere will be a game of Jeopardy\, a short presentation by Bush and plenty of gay cheer.\nYou will be randomly assigned to a Jeopardy team\, so there is no pressure if you come alone. Bring just yourself\, bring your friends and bring your parents. All are welcome at this special event!\n\n\nBusch is a native Wiltonian who grew up and raised his family here. A lifelong advocate for social justice\, Bush and his husband\, Stephen Davis\, were one of the seven couples that successfully sued Connecticut for the right to marry. He worked as a public interest attorney and an administrative judge. He is currently the owner of the Wilton business\, Nantucket Spider. In his role as a justice of the peace\, he greatly enjoys marrying other couples.\n\n\nThis event is for LGBTQ+ people and Allies of ALL ages. Registration is a must.
