Flashing red lights and sirens sometimes means bad news–unless they’re flashing on a fire truck this weekend at the 2017 Touch-a-Truck Community Event, hosted by the Children’s Day School of Wilton.
Children will be able to explore the trucks they see on the road–visitors will be able to sit on, climb on and explore many types of trucks and other types of vehicles.
This community-wide event will also feature pony rides, “Roaming Railroad,” a bouncy house, face painting, concessions, musical entertainment, and, of course, a large variety of trucks!
Touch-A-Truck takes place on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Middlebrook Middle School, 131 School Rd.; as it has done in the past, Touch-A-Truck will feature a silent hour from 11-noon, when there will be no loud noises to frighten sensitive youngsters. Admission is $30 per family. The event takes place rain or shine.
Organizers thank the many sponsors who they credit with the growth of Touch-a-Truck in Wilton this year. Premier sponsors include ASML, and William Pitt Insurance.
