DESCRIPTION:Join Wilton Land Conservation Trust for a day of trail work\, removing invasive species\, and planting native species!\n\n\nBuilding Community\, Biodiversity for All Ages\nBy combining education and environmental management\, Stewardship Sundays — led by WLCT’s youth interns — is an opportunity for people of all ages to get out there\, improve the environment\, meet like-minded folk\, and take home some skills to apply in their yards and gardens. All are welcome\, come and join us!\n\n\n“Our Spring and Fall Stewardship Sundays are a great opportunity to gather with friends and family\, get into the fantastic outdoors and make a difference to our conserved properties.  Wilton has such beautiful properties and it’s really rewarding to take on the role of caretakers as a community!” — Marlen Clark\, WLCT Stewardship Committee Chair\n\n\n“Being part of a community only starts with where you live\, it continues with getting involved. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Wilton Residents! Join the Wilton Land Conservation Trust on Friday\, June 14 at 4 p.m. for a Walk Through Wilton’s Harrison-Smith Preserve!\n\n\nThe Wilton Land Conservation Trust’s two interns\, Jack Ferguson and Kimberly Castano\, have worked extremely hard maintaining and mapping trails. As Jack and Kimmy hiked the trails\, they discovered spectacular places unfamiliar to many people in Wilton. They have created “Walk Through Wilton” as their final project to aid the town in discovering one-of-a-kind places in our backyard. \n\n\nTheir goal is for you to learn about the importance of the Land Trust and its preserves while enjoying and discovering the beauty of nature.\n\n\nRefreshments will be provided!\n\n\nIf you are planning on attending\, please be prepared with long pants and high socks as a precautionary measure in the rare case we find a tick or encounter some poison ivy.\n\n \n\n\nParking is on Keeler’s Ridge Rd. off of Ridgefield Rd.; turn into the northernmost entrance of Keeler’s Ridge Rd. where we will be entering into the preserve.\n\n\nFind out more on the Wilton Land Trust website.\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n	See more related GMW stories...
