SUMMARY:Cystic Fibrosis Spin Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The Wilton Interfaith Action Committee (Wi-ACT) supports the Cystic Fibrosis Bridge of Hope by providing meals to and helping drive the patients that come here for treatment. Wi-ACT is having a fundraising ride at JoyRide for the Cystic Fibrosis Bridge of Hope on Saturday\, Dec. 1 at 11:30 a.m.. It is $40 to ride and the money we raise will truly help to save someone’s life.\n\n\nCF Bridge of Hope was started by two long-time Wilton residents\, the husband and wife team of Dr. Hossein Sadeghi and Dr. Dr. Golnar Raissi. Learn more online about the charity on the CF Bridge of Hope website.\n\n\nNo spin experience is necessary. Just go to the Joyride Wilton website\, click on the link in the events page\, set up an account and choose your bike.\n\n\nThis fundraiser will be a 50-minute JoyRide led by the super motivating and energetic instructor\, Jared Marinelli!\n\n\nPlease arrive at JoyRide Wilton by 11 a.m.\, to allow time to get checked in and set up properly on the bike. It is recommended that participants bring a water bottle\, wear comfortable work-out clothes and sneakers. DESCRIPTION:Passage East Kennels and Pet Pantry Warehouse are excited to host a fundraising JoyREAD to benefit the Wilton Library Association‘s “25 for 25” Town Grant Challenge! Join us at JoyRide of Wilton next Saturday\, Oct. 20\, at 11 a.m. for a 50-minute cycling class with Adam\, followed by refreshments.\n\n\nWe’ll make it worth the sweat–all riders will go home with a doggy swag bag containing $25 to use toward any boarding\, grooming\, daycare\, or training service at Passage East\, as well as a 10% off coupon towards any purchase at Pet Pantry\, located right next to the studio.\n\n\nMinimum donation is $40 per rider\, to be paid in cash or check made out to Wilton Library Association at the time of the event. Space is limited to 36 riders\, so sign up now on the JoyRide website.\n\n\nMore about the “25 for 25” Challenge:  In this year’s budgeting process\, the Library was challenged by the Town of Wilton to raise $25\,000 in additional funding which would be matched by the Town\, thereby reaching Wilton Library’s original budget request. Because of the Town’s challenging budget year\, the library has launched its ’25 for 25′ Campaign\, which is a critical piece in securing the organization’s operating funds.\n\n\nThe Library has always been there for us–now it’s our turn to show them some love!\n\n \n\n\n\n\n	See more related GMW stories...

SUMMARY:Issy Kwei Health Care Fund Spin-Raiser Ride at JoyRide
DESCRIPTION:Join JoyRide for a 50-minute fundraising ride led by Anne Stauff and Cindy Tamburri at JoyWilton on Friday\, Sept. 28\, 2018 at 12 p.m. to support Issy Kwei and Family.\n\n\nIn July 2018\, 12-year old Issy was diagnosed with a rare cerebellar tumor at the brain stem. She underwent an 8-hour emergency surgery to remove the tumor and was declared “tumor free.” She has been receiving chemotherapy treatments at Yale and she is expected to make a full recovery. The family faces months of various medical treatments and rehabilitation therapies to help her regain all those brain-stem controlled skills – from breathing\, swallowing\, and other mobility and speech functions. All proceeds from this ride will benefit Issy’s Health Care Fund and help the family with the costly medical expenses.\n\n\nPlease note that the minimum donation is $40 per bike (paid in cash or check) the day of the ride.
