Wilton dentist James T. Aris, DMD was awarded a Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the AGD’s highest honor and one of the most respected designations in the dental profession. Aris was honored at during a special ceremony at the recent annual meeting of the AGD held in San Francisco, CA.

This year, 144 dentists received the Mastership Award. To receive this award, a dentist must earn the Fellowship Award first and complete 1,100 hours of dental continuing education. Aris completed 1,355 hours of continuing education and received his Fellowship in 2009. He attended continuing dental education courses throughout the U.S. including University of Pennsylvania, NYU, Tufts, The Dawson Academy and courses offered through the American Dental Association and the Connecticut State Dental Association.

“I have made an extraordinary commitment to education, and will continue to do so, for the benefit of the patients I’m blessed to serve. I’m inspired on a daily basis by the patients I’m fortunate to serve in this vibrant community,” he says.
