As captain of his New Fairfield Falcons Pop Warner football team, Wilton teen Austin Andersen led his team to win the Division III U14 Unlimited National Championship, with a 30-0 victory over the East Cleveland (OH) Chiefs last Saturday, Dec. 3 at Ames Field in Michigan City, IN.
Andersen, who played linebacker and running back for the Falcons, led the team in tackles, forced fumbles and interceptions, and scored 11 touchdowns, including a touchdown reception in the championship game, during a perfect 12-0 season.
