The Yellow Pages directory may be practically an archaic thing of the past, but that doesn’t mean they’re not produced anymore. They still exist, and the company that prints the Fairfield County directories has alerted Wilton officials of the time period when the phone books will arrive in mailboxes and on doorsteps. They’ve also provided information on how residents can opt-out from even receiving them.

A representative of DexYP, the manufacturer of the Fairfield County directory, contacted first selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice to provide anticipated directory delivery dates to Wilton residents:  the approximate delivery start date is Nov. 22, 2019, and the company expects to wrap up the delivery period by Jan. 8, 2020.

Should residents have any questions or concerns regarding the distribution of Yellow Pages directories, they can reach out to DexYP via a ‘distribution concerns’ email address.

Residents can choose which directories they would like to receive–and which they’d like to stop receiving in the future–by visiting the Yellow Pages Opt Out website, a site which the Yellow Pages directories industry provides at no cost to users. The deadline for opting out of the upcoming Fairfield County directory is Sept. 19, 2019.

According to the materials sent to the first selectwoman’s office, the directories are 100% recyclable.
