Lonely Planet calls Cuba “a prince in a poor man’s coat… If the country were a book, it would be James Joyce’s Ulysses; layered, hard to grasp, serially misunderstood, but – above all – a classic.”

Wilton League of Women Voters member Barbara Quincy and Norwalk residents Stuart and Galen Wells recently returned from a mid-November cultural exchange trip to Cuba, under the auspices of the People to People Educational Exchanges authorized by President Obama in 2011. Their tour returned home right before the U.S. re-established diplomatic relations with Cuba.

They’ll share their experiences at the Wilton LWV’s monthly Steering Committee meeting for an informal discussion about their trip, next Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Senior Lounge in the Comstock Community Center, 180 School Rd.. All League members, friends, and the public are invited.  Guest speaker Barbara Quincy is also the president of Stay at Home Wilton.
