Chhandayan — Holi Festival of Colors

Chhandayan (a name meaning the course [ayan] of rhythm [chhand]) aims to promote and preserve the rich heritage of Indian music. Samir Chatterjee, the current Artistic Director and President, founded Chhandayan in 1984. Its activities span various areas of music education, including organizing concerts and pre-concert lectures, classes, workshops, and archival research. New York City homes Chhandayan’s primary operations headquarters, but its activities are carried out in six local chapters. Read more about them here.

This concert, featuring traditional and seasonal Raga music, relates to the celebration of Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors.
