Clean-up on Wilton Loop of Norwalk River Valley Trail
June 17, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Free
The next clean-up on the Wilton Loop of the Norwalk River Valley Trail will be on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, 9:30-11 a.m..
Charlie Taney, NRVT’s executive director, makes the pitch that spending time with dad volunteering to help in the cleanup makes a great, unique Father’s Day gift. “And, the cleanup will be done by 11:30 a.m., so dads will get home just in time for their Father’s Day brunch,” he adds.
The June 17 clean-up is a major effort to push back the vegetation that’s encroaching on the NRVT. Two teams are being organized: one will start at Rte. 7 across from the commuter lot and work north; the other team will start at the Autumn Ridge parking lot and work south.
Help is needed in each of the two locations. Volunteers are asked to email Charlie Taney to sign on to help, choose a clean-up location, and provide the number of people in your volunteer group.
