Free Online Presentation of “A Revolution of Her Own!”

Drum Hill Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is hosting a free online event on Thursday, Jan 21, at 12:45 p.m.
Please join us for a wonderful afternoon travelling back in time with an online presentation of “A Revolution of Her Own!”, the inspirational story of America’s first female soldier Deborah Sampson, featuring History At Play, LLC founder and artistic director Judith Kalaora in a solo performance. This program has been performed across the country, receiving accolades from journalists, actors, and historians alike and earning the honor as an Official Selection of the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City.

“A Revolution of Her Own!” is approximately 60 minutes, followed by real-time audience Q&A. Suitable for all ages.
Daughters are vibrant, active women who are passionate about community service, preserving history, educating children, as well as honoring and supporting those who serve our nation. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join DAR. History At Play, LLC was established in 2010 by Kalaora to create impactful educational entertainment for audiences of all ages and demographics. Offering solo and ensemble programs with an emphasis on women’s history, HAP, LLC is woman-owned and operated, with a commitment to employ artists from the region. Kalaora is a professional educator, award-winning playwright, and living historian. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Syracuse University and completed the Globe Education Program at Shakespeare’s Globe
