Free Presentation: A Parent’s Guide to Psycho-Educational and Neuropsychological Evaluations

Navigating the evaluation process can be overwhelming. As a parent, you want to advocate for your child, but the steps to access support — whether through school or privately — can be confusing. Pediatric neuropsychologist Yael Rothman, PhD, will discuss reasons for seeking an evaluation, what is typically assessed, and how evaluations may differ depending on the setting. Understanding the results of the assessment is critical, yet parents may leave feedback sessions feeling uncertain about what the findings mean or what to do next. Rothman will also explain how to interpret the results and offer guidance on how to use that information to pursue the appropriate supports and services for your child.
