The Greater Norwalk Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is holding a community event to spotlight PuroClean of Wilton | Ridgefield to benefit Open Doors. The event is being held Thursday, June 9, from 6-8 p.m. at The Breakroom (14 N. Main St., Norwalk).

The GNHCC invites the community for a great event to spotlight a chamber member, PuroClean of Wilton | Ridgefield and Open Doors in efforts to raise funds and awareness to help those in need in the community.

This will be a charitable networking event with small appetizers and cocktails, and GNHCC will welcome members and non-members and encourage those in attendance to donate and consider supporting Open Doors, which helps those in need by providing supportive services that bridge the gap between homelessness and housing.

A GNHCC Networking Event is an opportunity to meet Hispanic business owners and entrepreneurs, and others interested in reaching Hispanic and multicultural audiences. By exchanging ideas and experiences, participants can support each other in facing the challenges that are inherently part of paving their own way in business.

This event is free and open to non-members, but an RSVP online is encouraged. Attendees are asked to consider donating the following items at the event:

Peanut butter
Rice (2-pound bags)
Canned soup
Canned vegetables
Sugar (2- or 4-pound bags)
Fresh fruit and vegetables
Canned chicken
Canned pasta dinners
Jelly (grape or strawberry)

Canned beans (red or black)
Fruit cups or canned fruit
All-purpose flour (5-pound bags)
