Health & Wellness Fair

May 23 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

FREE

The number of students with mental health concerns has continued to rise over the last few years. This reached its pinnacle in October 2020 when the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Children’s Hospital Association jointly urged The White House to issue a National State of Emergency in child and adolescent mental health.

As a community we must also do our part. This is why Wilton High School has decided to host its very first Health & Wellness Fair during Mental Health Awareness Month. The event is sponsored by the Hope Squad, a new club at Wilton High School.

The Hope Squad is a national organization with clubs at thousands of high schools across the country. The Hope Squad’s mission is to reduce youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. During the fair, students and parents will have access to a variety of different resources. There will be booths promoting mental health, nutrition, exercise, and more.

The Health & Wellness Fair will be held on Tuesday, May 23 in the Zellner Gallery at Wilton High School.
