Hot & Cool Jazz: The Tamir Hendelman Trio
March 4 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The Tamir Hendelman Trio returns to Wilton Library for a special musical homecoming, as Hendelman explores music from his childhood in Israel, originals, and Great American Songbook gems. Please join Wilton Library on Saturday, March 4 from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for this Hot & Cool Jazz concert featuring the Tamir Hendelman Trio including Marco Panascia on bass and Matt Wilson on drums.
Hot & Cool Jazz is brought to you by the generosity of the Estate of James (Tom) and Alice Brown.
Born in Tel Aviv, pianist, composer and arranger Tamir Hendelman has resided in California for many years, but it’s fair to say the world is his home. His trio will debut freshly arranged melodies with both modern and ancient inspirations, classics of the Israeli Songbook, lyrical originals, and reimagined jazz classics.
Henelman is visiting Wilton fresh off of tours of New York, California and the Caribbean. A long-time member of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, he has recorded with Barbra Streisand and Natalie Cole, performed with Benny Golson and Terell Stafford and has been a guest artist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Winston-Salem Symphony.
Advance registration is strongly recommended. Register online or call 203.762.6334. The suggested donation is $10. Each registration is for one name only; register each member of a party separately. Pre-registrants should arrive by 3:50 p.m. to be guaranteed seating; wait-listed and walk-in registrants will be admitted after 3:50 p.m. if space is available. There will be a reception following the concert with CDs available for sale and signing.
