Norwalk River Restoration Guided Walk

September 2, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

Save the Sound, Trout Unlimited, and the Norwalk River Watershed Association invite residents to a guided walk along the Norwalk River Valley Trail in Wilton on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 5:30 p.m.

Join us to hear about the ongoing efforts to restore the natural flow of the river, and to improve the quality and accessibility of habitat for fish and wildlife by removing artificial barriers such as the Flock Process Dam and Dana Dam.

Come learn more about the key roles played by these species in our ecosystems, directly from experts in ecosystem restoration. Ask questions and enjoy some time outdoors with people who care about the environment.

Rain or shine. RSVP (appreciated but not required) via email.

Meeting point: Norwalk River Valley Trailhead, 70 School Rd., Wilton. Park there and meet the group to walk down the trail together. Do not park at Lovers’ Ln. entrance.
