A spectacular new show returns to the Wilton Historical Society! Objects of Desire: Style for the Garden and Home brings a carefully edited, eclectic mix of outstanding pieces for the garden and home to a two-day show. With offerings ranging from mid-century to contemporary to vintage and antique, Objects of Desire features a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind garden accents, fine furniture, accessories, found objects and art, beautifully presented on the verdant grounds of the Wilton Historical Society by 20-plus top dealers. From armillaries to urns, sconces to sculpture and everything in between, the selection will be quite extraordinary. A single piece can change the conversation and ambiance of your room. June 1 and 2, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; admission is $10.
This is an entirely different kind of show – the spotlight is on amazing objects, carefully selected by the top-notch dealers who will be presenting their pieces. These are one-of-a-kind pieces that can transform the garden and home, giving distinct style and visual pop. Those who wish to shop the show for early buying have two possibilities:
- The VIP Reception on Friday, May 31 from 5-6 p.m. offers an exclusive event hosted by well-known interior designer Phillip Thomas and his fabulous Design Committee. Attendees can get a glass of bubbly, extra early access to shop the show, mingle with the area’s most talented tastemakers, and gain in-depth information from knowledgeable dealers. $250 per person (includes Preview Party ticket)
- The Preview Party, from 6-8 p.m., features delectable hors d’oeuvre by Barcelona, great wines provided by Donelan Family Wines, and an opportunity to get an early look at the great objects available from the dealers. $125 per person
