Summer Poetry with Judson Scruton: Savoring The Metaphors of Robert Frost

July 7, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Please join Wilton Library for a 4-week literature seminar led by Judson Scruton, who will take participants through a survey of the metaphors of Robert Frost.

Some critics complained that Robert Frost’s folksy, rural shtick was tiresome or that his poetry was too brutally cynical, but for the majority of 20th century Americans, Frost was the most beloved American poet. In the 21st century, his stature among the critics is only increasing. Come join us for an informal discussion of the wit, wisdom, and enlivening metaphors of Robert Frost.

Judson Scruton M.A (The Johns Hopkins University, The Writing Seminars, specializing in poetry) has taught creative writing and literature at prep schools and universities.

This lecture series is made possible with the support of the Literary Series in Memory of Amy Quigley. Please email Andrea Sato with any questions at asato@wiltonlibrary.org. To register, visit the Wilton Library website.
